Our Projects

Compass Disability Services currently facilitates projects in Somerset and Wiltshire including:

The Somerset Access and Inclusion Network - A network of individual disabled people and organisations in Somerset that work with disabled people. We aim to consult with the network on various topics in partnership with the local authorities to improve access and inclusion to services and facilities in Somerset. Membership is free.

The Forum for Equality and Diversity in Somerset - This forum is established as a network to promote Equality and Diversity in the County of Somerset. The forum brings together campaigning and service delivery organisations from the six equality strands of Disability, Race, Faith, Age, Sexual Orientation and Gender.

The Wiltshire Direct Payment Support Service. - A Direct Payment is a cash payment to an individual instead of direct care so that they can make arrangements that suit their particular situation. Compass Disability Services is currently providing support to disabled people in Wiltshire.

The Accessible Somerset Awards. - These annual awards aim to recognise those services and facilities in Somerset that have gone out of their way to make themselves accessible to disabled people in Somerset.

Disability Somerset Exhibition - Disability Somerset will be the largest exhibition of Motability, mobility equipment, daily living aids, support services, information and advice specifically aimed at disabled  people, carers and professional in the area.
